REAL LIVE GIRL/SHIKSA GODDESS - Ike Wellhausen

Ike Wellhausen sings Real Live Girl form Little Me and Shiksa Goddess from the Last Five Years.

Before the pandemic, Ike was performing around the Midwest and Southern states to rack up some credits: Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre, Legacy Theatre, Temple Theatre, Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis, Cedar Fair’s - King’s Dominion, and many more!

At the beginning of 2020, Ike flew out to NYC for an audition for a new musical, set to tour the USA. The musical was titled Blippi: The Musical (now changed to Blippi Live). He got to work with the creator of the youtube sensation Blippi! (Stevin John) and help create the musical adaptation of his work alongside the creative team of Round Room LLC. The musical ran for 6 weeks as a test run with several sold out performances. The show was set to return that summer but with the pandemic, didn’t come back for another 15 months. With the return of Blippi: The Musical in 2021, the show ran for 6 months throughout the USA. At the very end of the tour, the cast and creative teams were asked to film the musical for NETFLIX. You can type in Ike Wellhausen on your search bar within the app and find the recorded live show.

After hitting Netflix at the beginning of 2022, the show’s virality was palpable and became the first children’s musical to sell out in London BEFORE it’s first performance AND get nominated for an Olivier award for BEST FAMILY SHOW. The show is set to tour the Middle East, Europe, and the UK within the next few years!

Azamara Cruises is a 4 ship fleet of luxury liners, touring the seven seas. Ike worked on the cruise line for 9 months (to the day) as a performer, entertainer, and fill-in for many many MANY other projects during his time.

Working on a cruise ship is one of the most rewarding yet difficult things I have ever done. I learned how to perform several different genre’s while also growing myself as a dancer and singer. It’s hard to believe I spent 3/4ths of a year cruising the Mediterranean while doing what I love.
